Description
This is an old antique Victorian era beautiful porcelain charger 9.25 inches by 9.25 inches signed F. Boucher for Francois Boucher. The plate depicts two maidens floating in the clouds with doves and cherubs. Around the maidens you see small scenes depicting more maidens and couples surrounded with cherubs and doves. The plate is marked St. Kilian Germany on back with another hallmark. It is made by Oscar Schlegelmilch Germany. The plate charger is ready to be hung as it has two holes in back for hanging. The charger has some hairlines on the back. I counted 3 and they are hard to see. I tried to capture them on the pictures. If you can magnify the pictures you can see the hairlines. The plate is around 100 years old and it will hang for another 100 if handled delicately. There is some loss to the gilt as you can see on the picture and some scratches all close to outer rim - all these imperfections make this plate unique and add it more charm. I am a motivated seller. Please make me a reasonable offer that I can't resist.
