Danish Artist Bjorn Wiinblad (1918 -- 2006) produced some beautiful plates for Rosenthal Studio-Linie over the years ... if you are here you are likely familiar with his annual Christmas plates, Aladdin series, Magic Flute series, Sinbad the Seafarer series, etc. This is a SCARCE Series of Four (4) 12" Wall Plates celebrating the musicians and performers of the operas and stage performances he so loved and inspired him throughout life. This is the Third Plate in the series, Cheerful Clangs III ... the others are: Sweet Strings I Beautiful Bells II Fabulous Flute IV Currently, I have all these plates ... check my other listings to see them, and reach out via Ask Seller a Question if you are interested in a combined price. Here ... we have Cheerful Clangs . It's a 12" diameter plate and has it's original box. These plates are heavier than you may be used to if you collect other Wiinblad plates. This plate in the box weighs about 3 LBS. Colors are bright and vivid. This plate was never used, only hung on the wall for display. Has a homemade copper wire hanger on the back.
