Manufactured by Rosenthal in Germany, this is the 1968 Rosenthal traditional Christmas plate. This porcelain plate is in excellent condition, and measures 8 3/4” in diameter. There are no cracks, chips, flakes or any other flaws. The back of the plate has the following: “Weihnachten in Bremen,” Entwurf von Georg Kuspert. The 1968 Christmas plate also has holes for hanging, and contains the Rosenthal logo and the word “handgemalt,” which means ‘hand painted.’ The masking was placed on the back of the plate simply to match the plate obverse with the plate reverse. The photo is the actual plate. Please excuse any glare in the photo, it is not a defect.
