I am selling a fabulous Rosenthal Bavaria piece today! This item is an annual Christmas plate. My husband was out treasure-hunting a few days ago, and found a group of Rosenthal Christmas plates. The plates are quite early, dating between 1930 to 1935. This is the 1932 plate. The scene is titled “CHRIST CHILD”, designed by Otto Kock. The word “WEIHNACHTEN” is at the top of the plate and the date “1932” at the bottom of the plate. The plate’s scene is done in deep blues, and accented with gold on the halo around the Christ child and around the scene. The plate measures 8 1/2” in diameter. The back is marked: “Rosenthal Bavaria CHRISTKINDL Entwurf von Otto Koch Rosenthal Selb Bavaria”. Condition is pristine, even mint! No sign of use or wear, and no damage at all. A great addition to your Rosenthal china or Christmas plate collection! Remember, this is part of a set, I am selling the other Rosenthal Christmas plates in separate listings. No reserve!
