<![CDATA[<div>Stunning !! This piece of Bjorn Wiinblad's 1978 Glass Collection was done for Rosenthal's Studio Line. This Collectors Plate shows the three Wiseman (Magi) Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar, who traveled to pay homage to the infant Jesus and brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. You can see one King astride a horse, one on an elephant holding a goblet full of jewels and a third holding what looks to be a necklace. The plate is wonderfully colored in Shimmering Gold, Turquoise and Royal Blue. Lots of details, swags, tassels. Printed on the plate in German is "Weihnachten 1978" in observance of what is commonly known in English as Christmas. Also you'll see Bjorn Wiinblad's Signature, a very famous Danish Artist whom designed this collection, on the front of the plate. The shape of the plate is a Squircle (square with rounded edges) with a Quatrefoil Recessed center. You'll notice in the photos that this glass is very thick (weighing over 3 pounds). The Glass Plate comes with a Black Back Plate to use as a backdrop. Measurement is approximately 11 3/8" x 11 3/8" The back of the plate is stamped with "Limitierte Kunstreihen" a German phrase that translates directly to "Limited Art Series". The Rosenthal Company was first founded in 1879 by Phillip Rosenthal in Bararia, Germany. Rosenthal is known for its high quality dinnerware, giftware and interior collections.
